PHASE HEAD MESSAGE

Namaste and welcome to SBSM’s Senior Phase.

I believe that every child is born with the same potential and it is up to us, educators, to mould that child into the very best he or she can be. My personal and professional experiences in the Senior Phase allows me to understand first-hand the demands placed on our learners, be it academic or psychological.

The Senior Phase curriculum is the most variant of all the phases as it includes nine learning areas. At SBSM, in addition to those, each learner also studies an Eastern Language, attends Drama and Computer classes weekly. Learner Support Classes are also provided to our learners requiring additional academic support. The academic, sporting and cultural aspects of our school provide the foundation of excellence. We at SBSM firmly believe that teaching is not about curriculum content only but rather the passing on of values such as respect and empathy. Hence, we aim to build the skills, knowledge and positive attitudes necessary to help all our learners become responsible, respectful and tolerant citizens of the future. Our Hindu ethos creates a sound value-base and this, together with our teachers who are motivated by their passion for education, our superb facilities and excellent resources makes our school the ideal place for your child to develop.

The positive support of our parents and the wider community is very important to us all and we maintain an open and welcoming environment where we can work in partnership for the benefit of our learners.
